u r probably screwed. Apple will not take it back because they will say it was the owners fault - something like this happened to me to and it wasn't even my fault - Since water and electronics don't usually mix it probably fried your hard drive

It is possible that Apple would replace and repair but you would definitely have to pay
In my opinion I would just buy a new one and take better care of it this time.

in case you used warm water, you would be able to correctly be out of luck. in case you used cleansing soap, you would be able to correctly be out of luck. in any different case, attempt the two a bowl of rice (as stated) or, in case you have an air conditioner, placed it in front of the air conditioner (it acts as a dehumidifier, and takes the moisture out), or in case you have a dehumidifier, use that. in case you like it rapid, that may not take place. in case you already know what you're doing, you need to take it aside or take the canopy off, and which will hasten the technique, yet you will could desire to be careful. i might provide you with a warning that technically which will void your guarantee, yet i'm exceedingly particular that with the help of working it for the period of the wash you have already voided it. As for between the previous posters, do no longer attempt blowdrying it (a minimum of no longer with the warmth on). warmth will kill electronics exceedingly at as quickly as. the factor is to get the moisture out devoid of boiling the circuitry.

First of all, apple will not cover acts of stupidity. You broke it, so now you deal with it.

That being said, if you know how, you might wanna open it up and dry it off. DO NOT USE ANYTHING THAT COULD CAUSE STATIC! Use something made of paper.

Um is it completely dry? If not give it another day.
If it still doesnt work go to the iPod store w/ your receipt if you still have it.

by plugging it into electricity you are not helping it any.

Any electrical device needs to be dried out completely before hooking up to elecetricity.

I hope its not fried but it probably is pretty close. Good luck

Let it dry out completely and don't use it... see what happens.

It is not a good thing though.
