I haven't personally read any of those poems, but here's a tip:
DON'T use adjectives and metaphors excessively. Using them sparingly to emphasize the dorrect areas will vastly improve your writing style and the clarity of your paper

A descriptive essay is basically an essay which does not share an experience, but states information about a particular topic. So, if you were wanting to tell somebody about your summer vacation, then you would describe it for them. Similarly, if you wanted to talk about a midnight visit to the graveyard, then you have to use some figurative language to describe and express your point. I would recommend you to use many metaphors, some analogies, and maybe stick in a couple of allusions (reference to a well-known person, myth, biblical story, or historical event). Using many adjectives would saturate your main point and make your essay be very dull. So, I would recommend you to maybe make the tone of your essay different, such as tense or scary, and use a semi-formal method of diction to represent your point in such a way that it does not become very boring.

Hope this helps!

Study Skills, Essay Writing.

As the essay paper has evolved it has become more demanding with much more emphasis on posing questions which allow candidates to display the higher order skills. Professor Roy Wilkinson of Sheffield University has identified a pyramid of skills which A level examinations try to test.

Through the frightening graveyard the eerie sounds surrounded the gloomy and dark night

just write a sentence and then add some sound words and put an image into it
