Me and my friends were leaving from b-ball practice from school, and were walking down the street, and then this crazy dude comes by and saids we were eye balling his garage and had stolen something , and said that he had called the cops, before we know it they are already there, they ask us for our names, then to get on the floor, then they start searching us, took us to the police station, it had taken them 2 hours for them to call our moms to pick us up,and now we have court and have to pay for a lawyer and miss school and all this crap . Does this seem fair?

The only thing that i left out which isnt very important is that the cops had said that someone had stolen something from the mans garage that morning and it was 3 hispanic kids, and it matched us perfectly . So they took us down but that still isnt fair.

If the officers that picked you up did anything inappropriate you can file a city complaint, the only other thing you can do is sue the man for malice after you have been proven innocent. whatever you do don't plead no contest or guilty and remember most people work on the honor system so you should come out alright. If you want more information on law though you can look up words and phrases with the wikopedia online. It helps to know what all those fancy words the lawyers are throwing around means when it is your future at stake

No one ever said life is fair, but always remember something to hold your head high about......"I only play for an audience of One and that would be God"...if you really believe that this is what is important, then the rest of life can just be a big nuisance and nothing more...

What has fair got to do with it? Look at what your neighborhood is devolving to and how unfair it is for the families and police involved to be worried about street thugs.

No it doesn't seem fair. But I have this aching feeling that you are leaving out some important, need to know information for a true answer to this question.

But hey, what do I know?
