for any politition to try to call themselves a patriot while at the same time trying to take your right to freedom of speech and peaceful assembly.
q#2: why must you agree with your government without question? wasnt it revolution that built this country and gave us our freedoms in the first place? wasnt it said by tomas jefferson himself that you must question your government if you think they are not doing what is best for the people? isnt a true patriot someone that accually cares enough about his country to stand and question when he thinks they are doing wrong, to search for the truth for him/her self, and not follow the government blindly!

Freedom of speech must not be curtailed so that people can reach out to the government as to what they want for the country.

I agree with everything you said. If you don't challange and question , before long you will have lost those rights. This is how fascist governments seize power.Stick to your guns & encourage you friends to do the same. Future generations will thank you.

Extremely wrong. When I hear people say things like "we should not question the president in time of war" and "support the troops without question", I wonder about what school they went to, and their sanity.

I don't recall and law that requires us to agree with our government without question. I am not sure where you got the information for such a bold statement but, you may want to research and recheck.
A politician may call himself a patriot if he sees himself as such. We are a free people in the sense that our own opinion is our own. You do not have to agree with it.

You make great points. However the party that is in control at this point will label you a terrorist for having thoughts like that.
Kind of sad now isn't it?
Oh and in answer to your question. of course its wrong.

I hear you 100%... you are on track. Our founding fathers i.e. lawyers and our politicians i.e. lawyers are all part of a private club and we are not invited in. You are opening your eyes to the lies and hipocracy and you are not alone.

When you mature, I think/hope that you have more perspective. I served voluntarily during Vietnam and felt the hurt of such rhetoric.

So what's your question? If you disagree with something, let them know it. Voice your opinion, write to your congressmen, vote. We are very fortunate to be able to do that in this country.
