if someone made terrorist-like comments they will come after you
(unless they've got something better to do of course)
... on a serious note though, England and America actually have a machine that sifts through people's private emails at a very quick rate & they're the only two places that have it. I think I heard it mentioned here (programme 2):
http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio4/news/sleepingwiththeenemy.shtml
now, i'll say this to anyone who thinks what you say is implausible: what would this facility be used for, if not to detect terrorist sympathies?
why do terrorists and other criminals throw away their phones after a while? It's been a long time since the government could tap phones, that technology is even now available commercially if you know where to look, i think the military's tech must be quite advanced by now, but I won't venture into possibilities without facts.... & those can't be the only way they monitor us & sort out the potential terrorists from normal citizens...
i wouldn't go so far as "arrested & questioned" yet but certainly 'bloggers beware' is pretty safe advice

Don't ya mean questioned and then arrested? And for what? For being stupid? Now that might get YOU arrested. Arrest me for some silly **** like that. Me and the lawyers can all retire. Come on man. either be a little more specific or stop wasting peoples time with your paranoid delusions. You don't vote do you? But lets test your theory. All the democratic leaders in congress are as guilty of murder as Ted Kennedy. And they play with their poop too. There! That ought to bring down the wrath of government, well at least the side that has such high standard for us and such low ones for themselves.

Yeah, and bloggers aren't defaming Obama? I've seen some of the garbage that gets written about people. This blogger was an anonymous keyboard commando bully, and he got served. You rightist have no problem with censorship when it comes to books and movies, why do blogs make a difference?

In the UK general election of 1945, Winston Churchill told the people that in order to stay in power, a Labour Government would have to create a Gestapo.
The creation of Gestapo UK is now complete.

The child that got in trouble over their blog was a minor and stating a direct threat to the president of the United States made them a target by homeland security.
We have the right to say what we want but to insight a terrorist act is not quaranteed.

I wonder what country you are saying this about. This is not true. Only those who threaten the government or its officials are likely to be questioned and possibly arrested.
