in the Chinese commuinist revolution... they killed all the college professors... media... basically anyone that may oppose them... the people many consider to be the "liberals"...
yet, Republicans on here talk about how bad the liberals are and how we shold get rid of them constantlly...
but they also talk about how bad the communist are...
but they seem to have at least some of the same goals or ideas...

Excellent perception of the truth G. Have you ever watched the video of the tank man in Beijing, stopping the Chinese tank parade. He could have been a Chinese Liberal though, go figure!!! The Communist Chinese have killed more of their own people than Stalin and Hitler ever did too.

Political control in many ways means disposing of intelligent people (either getting them to join you or getting rid of them).
The reason why many political conservatives in the United States label educated people such as college professors and the media as "liberal" is because they want to get away with saying certain things that an unintelligent person would believe but an educated person would agree to. It's that level of critical thinking which halts most politicians from playing dirty tricks, but that is mostly all that they do.
It's not that the people you mentioned are *actually* liberal (the Chinese communist party would have labeled the teachers and journalists they killed as "extreme conservatives"), it's just that they are smart enough to resist stupid politics.
Democrats are less likely to throw around the L word as a bad thing since they identify with it, but they have just as many problems with educated people as Republicans do. Whether you are Democratic or Republican, the smartest people in society won't buy your **** unless you give them a truly good reason.

I like what oakieboy said, that then we may get some one to tell the truth and educate our younger people . Instead of teaching how evil America is and how evil we have been, how long has it been since you heard any thing from these so called professors
or the news media that say any thing good about America, I don't understand it as there are no walls to keep them in the U,S, but, they still don't want to leave this evil place???????????????

there'd still be alot of liberal baby boomers left all over the world and their children and grandchildren. And media and profs and governments can all be replaced with more liberal leaders. The pendulum does swing back and forth you know , it's not always going to be a GOP / Conservative era.
