I am looking to rent a movie this weekend along the lines of Seven, Silence of the Lambs, Exorcist. Any recommendations? Something not too old and nothing gory for the sake of being gory.
Thanks!

When you say not too old, how old?!

Suspiria or if you're looking for something classic, the original Dracula with Bela Lugosi never fails- or Frankenstein.

The original House of Wax.

Well, I would steer you to older films, like Psycho, the gold standard by Hitchcock.
But lets go with an intense twisted flick I love, called Angel Heart.
1986 with Mickey Rourke, back when he was big. Lisa Bonet got fired from the Cosby show because she was in this movie. And of course, the great Robert Dinero plays the evil bad guy. A must see.
Also check out Japanese horror movies. Ringu and Audition. Don't fall for the cheapo American versions, get the original ones, Blockbuster has them.
Make sure you stock up on some good tranquilzers, you're gonn need them!

OK. Rent the original Texas Chain Saw Massacre with Mattew McCanahay made in 1973, also rent the Texas Chain Saw Massacre made in 2003 or 04. When you see those movies you wont want to come outside make sure you have someone with you while youre watching these movies. I was really scared because the Texas Chain Saw Massacre is based on a true story. Also rent the 1st Jeepers Creepers. Trust me after I seen these movies I slept with the lights on in my room for weeks. Also rent SAW 1 and rent The Ring 1 and 2. Have a great one OK.

I just saw Hostel - but that was almost gory to be gory

See "Saw" - that was good but the main character was the guy from Robin Hood - Men in Tights - so it was kinda hard to see a comedian in such a tough role . . .

28 Days Later scared the bejeebes out of me. Silly, I know, but it really did scare me... and I'm not the type to get scared all that easily.
