I pretty much exclusively fly Southwest Airlines. When doing comparison shopping, I've always found the best deals through them. You can download "Ding" onto your computer, which will inform you of any deals they have going on. The icon on the computer will make a ding noise, but if your sound is not on, an envelope will appear on the icon. The deals only last a few hours and are for specific travel dates, but it's pretty common for an identical deal to pop up again if you haven't made up your mind. Also, sign up for their newsletters and check out their internet specials on their website. Sometimes they will list deals there that aren't listed anywhere else. My husband and I flew from Indianapolis to Orlando in 2005 for $38 each way per person. That was using Ding through Southwest. This year we booked through Ding as well, but kept an eye on their internet specials as well...found it cheaper through that section of their website, and got a credit for a future flight. This year's flight wound up being about $50 each way per person, Chicago to Orlando. Of course, this all depends on where you're flying from and where in Florida you're flying to. I typically avoid travel websites like expedia and travelocity (and the likes). I've found that with my own research, I can always find better deals...and then I don't have to worry about dealing with the middle man.

Try cheaptickets.com. That's where I go and it's best to book ahead of time. Have a nice trip!
