I have never understood how "they" can just pretend that people who are not affiliatied with either the Rep or Dem party shouldn't be given the same opportunities to speak, etc. The Florida Governors race is the perfect example. Any ideas on this?

The powers that be don't want an independent elected to office

It's not that they do not have the right, they lack the funding. The Republican and Democratic parties have the funding to back their sites. Most independant parties do not have that kind of funding. They rely on volunteers, family, and fellow business partners.
They all have the same opportunities to speak, just not in the widespread manner in which we are accustomed.

I just visited a site that sent questions to every candidate on the ballot. Not ONE independent responded.

The thing is that so called independents can not agree on anything and there fore can not form a party and organize.

Believing in nothing is not a strong enough link.
