I mean, put them all in an overnight holding cell or something and then let them go in the morning. I know some towns across the US are doing this. Why not every town and city in America?

No. There is a thing called double jeapordy in the US. You can't be punished twice for an offence. It's a fine line but we must draw it. There may be some that should be locked up, but if we lock up everyone for the slightest infraction we would be locking up many inocent people and such is not moraly acceptable.
US has lost the moral high ground and we must strive to regain it to earn back the respct of the world.

Why put them in an overnight holding cell and then let them free to attack again? Why not just punish them as they should be instead of being allowed to live amongst innocent citizens? You can't have your cake and eat it too by allowing them to live in normal neighborhoods and then get all upset because they're there in the first place.

no, and this is why they paid for there crime, and some are actually trying to put the past behind them, if someone kept messing with you over something you did a long time ago how so you think you should feel, yes there are some sex offender that will never learn, if you are so concerned them get out there with your kids this way you know that they are safe.

God yes. I personally think they should be tortured and should die a painful death. And let's remember how many people get away with these crimes and no one ever reports them. So what it's Halloween...what about the other 364 days a year?
But anyway I'm dealing with some issues from my own childhood right now.....

Personally I don't think sex offenders have the right to breath the same air we do much less to be allowed back out in society.

No, they've paid their time.
Do you realize that an 18 year old that has consentual sex with his 17 year old girlfriend, could be labeled as a sex offender for the rest of his life? How many people do you know that have done something to get that label? How about you?
