You don't until they are ready to be helped. Otherwise your just wasting your time and beating your head up against a wall.

Many people split up because of this and alcoholism. The addicted person thinks there is no problem and they will argue that all the way to the moon. You will only get yourself up if you keep pushing them.

Just be there for when they realize they have a problem and crash. Good luck, you will need it.

You should do something IMMEDIATELY! Don't wait for this person to destroy their brain and their life.

One of the best things that you could do would be to talk to a school councilor. They are trained in how to deal with these kinds of things and how to get your friend help.

If you care about this person enough to want to help them, you shouldn't sit idly by and let them destroy their life.
