I'm so tired of companies doing this crap just to drive up sales right before Christmans! Are you telling me that they can't produce enough to keep up with supply? Duh of course they can but then they wouldn't have all this free publicity and hype to drive up last minute sales! I feel like boycotting the companies that do this. Am I the only one who is fed up with marketing people trying to make a cheap buck off parents who just want to make their kids Christmas special?

At least you don't need to put Tickle Me Elmo TMx's in your car to get to work each day or use Tickle Me Elmo TMx's to cure the cancer that is ravaging your body.
Oil companies....drug companies....toy companies...if it is run by a human it is corrupt.

Your point is valid and absolutely true. Elmo is taking over the world every year right before Christmas! The toy companies behind him are deliberately making these Elmos in short supply to increase their profits. They should be boycotted!!

I feel the exact way that the author feels on this one. But Elmo TMX itself is a hoot of a toy. To bad it is in such a demand right in time for Christmas. Everyone knows that their is money to be made off of it this season.

Sorry, I've just always hated Elmo. But parents don't HAVE to buy everything that society tells them they SHOULD buy at Christmas. Parents see the commercials and news stories about the new Elmo, and think "OH I BETTER BUY IT or I'm a bad parent!" Even if they're kid has no clue what it is.

It happened the when the first tickle me elmo came out. I am so glad I do not have little kids.
And the commercial! Man! Everytime it is on, my cat goes tearing off down stairs. Scares the crap out of the cat everytime! (funny as heck, though)
