It depends on the content. Supense movies, westerns and crime dramas were good in any era but stuff with a lot of sci/fi stuff in it, I'd have to say the 90s-present. With the exception of Star Wars most of these type movies were really cheesy. Look at how bad Jason looked after they finally took his mask off.

70's most definite, spawned some excellent flicks because Hollywood was still good at filmmaking- not like today, that's for sure. That's my opinion. But I will admit that some genres are good from the others and if you made comparison's, that would be interesting.
Example would be, The Conversation with Gene Hackman or Marathon Man- I don't think those could be done by today's standards.

The 70's movies are definitely the best! For instance, nothing can compare to movie classics like "Taxi Driver" (DeNiro rules!) and One flew over the cuckoo's nest! The 70's are the best!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
