You might not even know when you are about to start, if you think you are ready to start then you might want to keep some pads in your locker at school..you could start tomorrow or not for another year everyone is different...

You have nothing to be afraid of its completely natural and you may not even feel it when it comes. I got mine when I was 12 and for the first couple of years I felt no pain and there was minimal discharge. I can't tell you when to expect it b/c it all depends on your body. What I can tell you is that you have nothing to be worried about. Try to enjoy this time in your young life b/c when your period finally does come you'll miss being a little girl.

dont bother wearig a just in case pad, theyre uncomfortable and unecissary. whe you first start your period itll be pretty light the first time. so if you think it may have started while at school, ask if you can go to the bathroom and see. if it has, and you dont have any supplys either go to the nurse and ask for someting (its a little embarrasing, but its better than nothing) or just stuff your undies with toilet paper, which will hold you over till you get home.
if you start in the middle of a class that youre not allowed to take breaks in, dont worry about it, your period will be light enough that youll be fine to wait a few hour before you doo anything about it (you just may ed up with stained undies)

Don't feel scared or worried. :)
Make sure you carry a pad around with you so you'll be prepared for it when it does come.
You might find this website useful it has lots of information about periods and puts the rumors/wives tales straight

Usually its pretty light. I remember I just stuff some toliet paper in my undies. Just take a hoodie sweatshirt to tie around your waist with you to school so if your afraid it might show through your pants and you don't want to get a pad from the nurse.
