Most people go to a funeral if they wish to pay final respect to the person who passed. If you do not wish to go do not go, remember this for respect for the one who passed no one else

That is up to you. But realize that when you go to a funeral you are going for the family that is still living, not for the person that died.... Do you want to be there for them, the ones that are still alive?

Going to the funeral is really for the survivors to comfort one another over the loss in the family. Are the parents of the cousin well-known to you . If not, you don't have to go, but please be courteous enough to send a card with a nice sentence about what you remember of the cousin. (Eg. "Susie will always have a special place in my heart. I remember that when I was six she and I played Barbie's and she gave me her best one to play with..." Something like that...)
If my answer has provided the information that you are looking for, please rate it. Thank you.

You don't have to go to the funeral.
That is a personal decision.

Question is if you will be EXPECTED to be there by your family, and you not showing up will cause some sorta problem....if it right where you live I don't see why not. If you have to travel quite a ways I say you don't have to.

No you don't have to go. its your choice. If you have made peace with it in your heart.
You have to make decision based on how you really truly feel.. you live by your standard not someone Else's word.

No, I would say not. Send a card instead, that way they will at least know your thoughts are with them.
