Depends on what it is. Good enough IS good enough many times for mundane, ordinary things. But if something is very important, then we want it better than good enough. We want it to be close to perfect, the more important it is to us.

Good enough is important because we can drive ourselves to distraction with obsessing about everything having to be perfect. Perfectionism is an illness.

Mediocrity is the stabilizing force of the world. It gives a platform for the great to jump from. As long as I can do the best I can do I'm happy with that. I'm my worst critic.
