It is fascinating that you put this issue this way. Those who are anti-choice would have us believe they are pro-life and nothing could be further from the truth. The entire lobby which is against nearly every issue from women voting, black's voting, civil rights, handicaped rights, food programs for poor childdren, etc, etc., etc., would now have us believe that this issue about abortion isn't really about being against women having rights over their own deeply personal decisions. No one favors abortions! But, this issue is about who decides what happens to a woman when she faces a serious problem that deals with her body. Should Men? It is time we let go of that old failed paradigm, Should The Church? The Churches role in a healthy society is to assist people in being able to make moral, ethical, and spiritual decisions for themselves, not to make those decisions for them. Those who say they are pro-life are the same people who are also against prenatal care for women, denying the funds for this. The result, millions of miscarraiges - death for the unborn - that is preventable. Other consequences are nearly as bad as young mothers and their babies suffer innumerable problems not having access to health care at this vital time in their lives. Don't fog this issue with bogus analogies.
Could we not rephrase your question and say that those in the military prefer missiles to hand to hand combat because this allows them not to hear the screams of the dying. Does that make killing more acceptable?' Do you think those in the military enjoy killing? If you do, you are sadly mistaken.

First of all, no one is pro-abortion. Democrats just aren't judgmental and hypocritical about it. Where were all you pro-lifers when the Bush Administration was screaming for vengeance and doctoring up the intelligence so that they could get into Iraq and murder innocent Iraqis and National Guard kids who just signed up for a free college education? Oh I see, abortion is unacceptable and war-mongering is okay. Neither your heads nor your hearts are in the right place.

i am pro-choice. but i strongly disagree with abortion. i would never get one and would hate to see someone i know get one. but that doesnt mean i have the right to stop anyone else from what they feel they have to do. and neither does the government.

no liberal is for or against abortion, we just support the right to chose the life you want to live. Republicans want to make the government Communist, telling what the people can and cant chose to do with themselves
