depends on where you are and your mood...magazines are for some trashy fun reading, and books for some serious relaxing time that can carry on everyday....I like both, but magazines are easier for me 'cause I'm impatient and magazines can be read in one hr or so...I think everybody should read books though, it opens the mind. Some fav books of mine-Chicken soup for the Soul, Catch 22, White Oleander, To Kill a Mocking Bird...Fav Magazines-Cosmopolitan, Self, Glamour, Us Weekly :-)

I'd go the magazine option.
If you dont like the story you are reading you can turn the page and start a newbie.
They have puzzles, quizzes, gossip & recipes and other nonsense you can usually live without but there's something in them for everyone.

I do both....when I want to sit down and READ ...I grab a good book. When I want to just browse while waiting for something or only have a little time it is the magazine....

a magizine can be sold easally but contains less info
a book can be sold harder but contains a lot of info
