Is ther a FREE spyware removel program.?

I dont have a problem with virus just spyware. My neice turned my norton off and now I have spyware. And cannot get rid of it.

I recommend that you go to http://www.download.com and get AD-AWARE and SpyBot Search & Destory. Install, run, update and scan your computer with both programs.

You see, Ad-aware scans and deletes files, and SpyBot scans and fixes the registration. This double whammy is awesome.

Now exactly why did your neice disable the anti-virus? Here is what you can tell her. "any computer that does not have anti-virus, will soon have a virus" And that is a fact.

Pick and choose at least 2 from the list below. New spywares are created literally hourly, so no single anti-spyware can really detect all malware. Have at least 2 on hand and alternate scanning with each every few days or so. All are free. All can remove as well as detect.

I reccomming using Spybot and Adaware to maintain you workstation sparkling from spyware. No unmarried application can locate and do away with all spyware that's why i decide for to advise using advert-conscious and Spybot (they're loose and the final). different great loose anti-spyware classes may be AVG Anti-spyware (formally Ewido) and great Anti-spyware. Webroot undercover agent Sweeper is the final, even though it is not loose (see the client seek source for comments of the final anti-spyware classes). working those classes in secure Mode (faucet F8 after powering on the pc and decide besides to secure Mode) could be greater effectual.

AdAware and Spybot. Run both. What I'd also do is create a user account with no administrator priv to prevent her from disabling any further programs if you let her use it. Otherwise set the screensaver to password protect upon resume if you dont lock it when you get up from it.
