I usually told my boss right away just in case there were any complications, but I always told her to not say anything just for the simple fact of that, complications and always waited to tell everyone else when I couldn't hide it anymore and I knew everything was alright...

After the 3 month mark and when you feel comfortable. It really depends on your relationship with your employer. Some people prefer to wait until they are really showing. Some people prefer to wait until after the 3 month mark due to the high risk of miscarriage. If you are waiting for a promotion, or a change in position I would try to wait as long as possible because even though it shouldn't factor into you getting them, it will! Realize you have to look out for yourself because most employers are looking at the bottom line.

I was a server, so i told them as soon as I found out from the doctor. I let them know my doctor also said I was able to do everything I had already been doing-even lifting the heavy things we lift... and I did it the entire pregnancy! I worked a day before my due date, and was one week overdue... they were impressed!
