My little cousin (4years old) was masturbating when I ws giving him a bath I didn't want to scare hime so I didn't say anything plus he stopped soon after he started but I was wondering if he was doing it because he was understress (his parents fight a lot and sometimes get physical) Is he alright

He's 4 years old. He doesn't understand the feelings but just knows that it is pleasurable. He knows that your touch also pleases him.
If you feel the need to tell his parents, then do so. But it's just part of his growing up.

There are a couple of answer to that question... but was he really masturbating or just playing with his self? Masturbating would be a learned behavior, and playing with his self comfortable, and at 4 he is just learning ALL about his body and what he can do with it. But if he was really masturbating it is time to take action, talk with his mother, talk with a child therapist!!! This could be a sign of something very bad happening to him or something that he is seeing that needs to stop NOW....... GL aunty!!!!! Keep him safe that is your number one job, as a aunt : )

I'm sure he wasn't doing it in a sexual way. Little boys (and girls) touch themselves occasionally. It feels different so they do it for a bit. There is n way- at his age- it was sexual- or a means to climax (because he can't at that age).

I dont think that the parents figthing has anything to do with you cousin masturbating. Its one of two things, he either saw someone having sex or he is just exploring his body. You shouldnt be worried that much. I think that its time to talk to him about sex.

if his parents get physical with him, he has more problems than you think. his parents should know what he is doing, it is very natural for children to explore there own body. but if you think he is not safe make you should call dyfs, you dont have to give your info

yes, I'm sure he's alright, he's only 4 all children that age play with there self when there that age, if there naked it's something new to play with, plus it might feel good........I wouldn't worry.
