Every time I find a friend, and start to become close to them, they think I want something other than friendship. Not like sex, but they think I am up to 'no good', when all I want is a friend.

Maybe your coming off a little weird, a bit creepy or something? You might reconsider your approach - really analyze your situations and ask yourself... do you come off too needy, too available? what is it that turns everyone off to you? there definitely is something otherwise you wouldn't be having this problem.

In my personal opinion it takes a great deal to be a friend and a to be a good one at that. It takes trust, honesty and mutual respect. If you can't find these in somebody then that person can't be your good friend and likewise if you can't fine these in yourself then you can't become a good friend to somebody. But I must say that these adjectives i mentioned above all depend on the individual, what I consider as honest might be different from what another person considers as honest, and so on. So it all depends on you and the people you associate yourself with. Get to know them very well and what they want and expect from you and also see whether they meet your expectations. Also try and ask yourself one honest question, and that is am I doing everything right?
or better still just change a course and see how things work out. Good luck.

You aren't finding the right friends then. Most of my guy friends are up to no good so have I have the same problem but when I say up to no good I mean they have a crush on me and are trying to sleep with me. You should guard yourself a little bit..Don't become too close, too fast..
