Yes, you may jump while taking a foul shot (free throw). However, if one or both of the shooter's feet touch or cross the free throw line, the shot is no good and the attempt is voided. You must stay inside the semi-circle at the top of the "key" as well, but those are the only two limitations. I bet the reason that you are asking this question is because you never see professionals, college players, or even high schoolers jump. That is because really you become more accurate as your free throw motion becomes more streamlined and less complex. Jumping must be timed correctly, whereas simply shooting the ball using your knees and arms only makes it a simpler shot.

yes but you cant cross the foul line and i think it is unnessesarry to jump during a foul shot.

Yes, you are allowed to do anything you like, as long as you stay behind the line and within the half circle.
Dr. J used to shoot from the top side of the circle because he thought the line was too close!

Yes, all you have to do is stay in the half circle, if you are over 6th grade you shouldnt be jumping while shooting a foul shot, ASK YOUR COACH FOR HELP WITH SHOOTING

Yes, you are allowed to jump as long as you don't cross the line while shooting. However, if you can, it is recommended that you don't, however, its not a rule

Yeah. Just don't cross the line. Whatever works is fine. Shoot a hook shot. Take 3 steps back (like Nick Van Exel). Shoot it under arm (like Rick Barry). Shoot it on your tip toes (like Anthony Mason. Actually, don't do that. He never hits.)
