There was a show, back in the early '90's that was about a guy's life, and his thoughts and/or experiences were shown as a scene from an old movie clip. It may have been on HBO. My boyfriend used to watch it, but now he doesn't even know what I'm talking about. I've been trying to come up with the name for weeks! HELP!

Others got the answer already that the show is "Dream On".
I just wanted to say that they do have this show on DVD. I've seen it at Best Buy and I am sure Amazon.com sells it.
It was a pretty cool show. I've thought about buying the DVDs myself.
