Occasionally a woman still gets pregnant, despite having had her tubes tied properly. The tubes have evolved in such a way as to try to heal themselves, and sometimes a tract develops that allows egg and sperm to meet. Tubal ligation, regardless of whether the tubes are cut, burned, clipped, banded, or tied, is about 99 percent effective, meaning that about 1 percent of women will conceive an unplanned pregnancy after tubal ligation. This failure occurs slightly more frequently in younger women.

But can you still have the baby?
heres the information I found I will list the site aswell for you...its written by a Doc...

Tubal ligations, while the best means of preventing pregnancy short of abstinence, are not perfect. The failure rate also tends to increase the longer it has been since one had a tubal ligation. A recent study (the Collaborative Review of Sterilization, or CREST, study) looked at 10,000 women who had undergone tubal ligation and found 143 failures (a failure rate of 1.4 percent). The risk of an ectopic pregnancy (a pregnancy in the tube or otherwise outside the uterus) is also higher if one becomes pregnant after a tubal ligation.
Assuming, however, you do not have an ectopic pregnancy (an ultrasound can determine where the pregnancy is), then you should have no problems carrying this baby to term. Nothing needs to be done beyond routine obstetrical care. If the pregnancy is in the tube, it cannot be saved; surgery must be done to prevent the tube from rupturing, a complication that can be life-threatening.

If you have not done so already, you must see an OB-GYN immediately. It is extremely important to make sure you do not have an ectopic pregnancy. Once an ectopic has been ruled out, you and the baby should do just fine.

Hope this helps

Very much so. I have a friend that has his wife's tubes tied. She would get pregnant, and because her tubes were tied, the baby might get stuck in half the tube. You will loose the baby. Plus, if you are pregnant and had your tubes tied, you will have a lot of pain on your uterus. (Pretty much like an ectop pregnancy)

So long as Ur baby is in your uterus You should be OK go to a doctor specially if your having any pain he'll give you a sonogram which will detect where the baby is, I have to say that if your baby is in your tube you will probably have a miscarriage but I pray that the is not the case. Congratulations Mommy ;D

I don't think is has to do with your age, I had my tubes tied and I was 29. they make you sign a form wait a few weeks or months to make sure this is what you want and then when you have your baby its taken care of. I only have two girls, so number of children doesn't matter. this was last year. hope it helps :)

Do you already know you are pregnant? If not,see a doctor. The chances of an ectopic (outside the womb pregnancy) are increased when your tubes have been "ligated" (cut and cauterized). If they were only "tied", chances are it worked itself loose and you will have a normal pregnancy. Best wishes...

If your tubes were tied, you can't become pregnant, UNLESS something went wrong and your surgery was incorrectly done.

See your doctor.

It's possible but there's a high risk of an ectopic (tubal) pregnancy so go to a doctor and get checked out asap. Good luck.

didn't they explain to you what it was to get your tubes tied and how that all worked. There is no way you can get pregnant, and if you are, the doctor didn't do it right and you should sue.

My mother has had this happen to her, and yes, in her cae it was very dangerous. You should see a doctor ASAP to get a blood test and see if you can follow through with this pregnancy. Good luck.
