I'm all for getting consultations at beauty counters. Stores such as Dillards and Kaufmanns offer appointments with their makeup counters. When I go through the makeup department and see an employee with great makeup, whether it's lips, eyes, or a flawless complexion, I'll stop and ask them how they did it and what products they used. More often than not, they'll offer to show you. Sephora is also good for this and they have a wide range of products to boot. Many salons and day spas offer makeup lessons too. You can work one on one with a stylist, and they can recommend what looks best for your skin tone and style.

Alexis Vogel has a great video to show you how to use her products (www.alexisvogel.com) she was the artist who did Pamela Anderson's 'cat eyes' first.

Bare Minerals also has a great video that comes with their makeup.
