That's not that much make-up. Unless your friends are saying that they can see a make-up ring around your face where the foundation and powder are. Or unless you in 8th grade or under, then yes, that may be a bit much.

Yes, you do wear too much. I asked on here once if guys prefered girls with or without makeup, and the vast majority said NO makeup at all. A few said some "natural" looking makeup, like light lipstick or faint eyeshadow (basically, makeup that just highlights certain points). A lot of guys object to lipgloss because "it makes kissing hard." Basically, the only thing I ever wear is chapstick or lip balm that isn't overly goopy and just tastes good. Several guys made the statement that they'd rather know what a girl REALLY looks like, not what she pretends to look like. I mean...how do you go to the beach? Wouldn't all that get ruined in the water?
Plus, all that foundation is bad for your skin. Probably part of the reason that you ahve pimples is because your pores get clogged, and the foundation just adds a nice cover for bacteria to grow under. A clean face that can get plenty of fresh air is best.
Besides....girls need to learn that they'll always look best when they're showing their true side. Learn to understand that you're beautiful through your natural beauty, rather than this pretend goop that you slather on your face. Check out www.campaignforrealbeauty.ca. Dove has a campaign to widen the definition of beauty since too many women and girls don't feel beautiful about themselves. Media portrays beauty in such a narrow margin that girls like yourselves feel obligated to cover up who you really are in order to try and look like models that have been airbrushed and modified.
I'm beautiful without any makeup...are you?

it does not sound like to much make up to me, i wear that on a norm day basis, if i go out i add the blush, eye shadow, eye liner. but if they are pointing it out to you, it might be that you have the wrong shades of make up on. i have learned if you go with a shade or 2 lighter liquid foundation, it will match your skin a lil better, and the same for powder foundation, a shade or 2 lighter, when you start to oil, the makeup will darken in your T zone areas, like forehead round the nose and mouth and on your chin, so the lighter make up's will help. try to apply your liquid in small amounts on your cheeks towards under eye and nose and blend and small amounts on chin and forhead, if you apply to much or cake it on it can have the look of thickness, and it will have the look of seperation from your face, also with a lip gloss, make sure its a natrual color not to bright or clumpy as so many lip glosses can be. oh and try a conceler, over you pimples, instead of too much liquid foundation, the powder will cover any extra shine you may not want. try using proactive too, that has worked great for me.

I wouls try using less foundation (both types) and just apply a layer of lotion to your face and dust all over your face with baby powder, I know that this sounds weird, but it really enhances natural color. If that doesn't work then just ease off the foundation over time, but other than that I wouldn't say u wear too much make up.

I'm studying to be a beauty therapist and know a lot about make-up.
foundation, mascara and lip gloss isn't too much make-up. But to make your friends say that you must be applying too much of these. put a non oily moisturiser on your face before foundation so your foundation goes further without having to use too much. dab concealer on pimples if you have any.dab small amounts of the foundation on your nose, cheeks, forehead and chin and blend in. then dust powder on your nose, chin and forehead so their not shiny.
only apply a thin coat of mascara, let dry then apply a second coat instead of applying one big layer.

I think you could do without the foundation. The macara and lip gloss if fine. Everybody has acne once in a while, so it's nothing to be embarassed about. I used to cover my zits up with foundation too, but I stopped. Besides that, everything else is fine.

putting on too much doesnt mean u r putting on too much it means it doesnt look natural. try blending as much as possible and try to keep it really light. the less u wear the harder it is to tell if u r wearing any or not. but i wear a lot of make up (liwuid foundation, concealer, power, sometimes blush, eyeliner, sometimes eyeshadow, lipgloss, sometimes lipstick) and most of the time no one can even tell. stick to colors that r similar to your natural colors. and like i hav pretty grey/blue eyes and eyeliner brings them out so stick to bringing out your best features.
if people r busy staring at ur eyes or lips cuz they r gorgeous then how r they gunna comment that u wear too much?

I agree with chortles, but I have a few more pieces of advice. If you have more layers on your face than you had on your last birthday cake then you are wearing too much makeup.
Less is more. The less makeup you wear the less you have to buy and therefore the more money you have for clothes! :)
