This is my first one, an emachine. Ever since i bought it, it has been nothing but trouble..problems galore! I want another one under 1000.
Can someone give me a list of real good ones? thanks!

The Dell E521 line is the best bang for your buck out right now, you can get a nice one dor under $1000. However if you want a computer for gaming, forget about it as you need more than $1000, but for just general use, the E521 is your best bet.

What is wrong with your e-machine? There can only be two issues:

1. Some part is physically broke, buy the new part and throw out the old one.

2. Software/programs do not run correctly, system is too slow
or has issues starting.

If number two is your problem, Take your windows installation cd ROM disk and reinstall your system. If you do not have an installation disk, you can buy one from www.directron.com or www.newegg.com for less than $125.00.

Do not throw out the physical computer just because the software is messed up! You just need to reinstall it.
