I tested positive with this test 4 days before my missed period. I think it just depends on the person though to be honest. Remember it is testing for the pregnancy hormone. Sometimes this early before your period, your body might not have enough of the pregnancy hormone flowing through it to activate the test. I would wait a few days and take one again.

I used a First Response test with this pregnancy.I didn't do the test until I was almost a week late because I wasn't really expecting to be pregnant(this is #4). The positive result came up within 30 seconds. Your body may not quite recognize that you are pregnant yet. Once conception occurs with egg and sperm, the egg/zygote has to travel down the falopian tube into your uterus and implant itself. That can take days or up to 2 weeks. Once the egg hsa implanted, then your body will start to produce hcg, also known as the pregnancy hormone. This hormone is what the hpt's test for. If you are pregnant, you may have just tested too early. Good luck.

RE:
How accurate is First Response pregnancy test?
First Response can detect HGH 5 days before your missed period, however I took this test 4 days before my missed period and it gives you a 83% result. My test came out negative. I was just wondering how accurate is this test? Has anybody had a positive result with this pregnancy test. Please help

I'm sure it must be for the price. I just went to the dollar store and got two for what you would pay for one expensive brand both gave me positives when i was pregnant w/ my son. After that i immediately went and got a urine test at my doctors office. If that still isnt clear whether you are pregnant or not then you could ask for a blood pregnancy test b/c they are 100% accurate. Good luck

Hard to tell. You have to understand, that it may be 83% at this moment, but the problem could be that you could have ovulated later and it won't show up till later. Many web sites will tell you that it would be best to test the day of your period or 1 week after. (This will give your body enough time to build up the HGH levels to show on the test) Be patient. If not, you are going to start paying out a lot in test every day. It would be better just to keep your fingers crossed and wait it out. Good luck!!!!

Very accurate test if taken right, I used it and had a positive pregnancy test with it, and of course was pregnant, very seldom actually slim to none will you get a false positive as the pregnancy test picks up hcg hormones which is found in pregnancy.

Against the ept test the the First Response one was actually darker in the reading for me. But I did take it one week before I would have started and it did read negative. It still was not till I was 4 wks that it read positive. So maybe just try later. Good luck

you should had waited until 5 days whether you know it or not but your body changes more as the day go by and also if the test stated to use first morning urine that would have been a good idea but I heard of it and it does work well
