I have had in my lifetime, moments that I call eternal. For some reason, which is not always clear, I know at that moment, that I will remember it Forever. Spiritually, for me, was the last 3 days of my grandmother's life. Emotionally, when I finally had my heart really broken (in my 30's). Psychologically, finally realizing my mother was not 'perfect'. That she was just a woman, like me, trying to make it thru this experience as best she could. I was 27.

Standing on a mountain in Bavaria, Germany in front of Neuschwanstein castle. Looking out across the landscape. Feeling literally on top of the world. Having my first poem published. Buying my first house. Specifically spending the first night in my house that I had bought on my own. Meeting my soulmate. Falling madly in love with someone who's madly in love with me. Looking into his eyes & recognizing his spirit is like mine. Scary. Exciting. Freedom. Each moment felt "eternal" as you say. It's like flying. Being outside yourself. Becoming larger than yourself. Part of the universe. Realizing your potential to be more. Realizing how beautiful life can be.

Spiritually-being born again and preaching to an entire church about it, got them to all jump up and shout at the end. I was 29

Emotionally-a few months before that when I had just finished a 3 day drug binge. I had finally fallen asleep and twenty minutes later the police broke my door down and took me in. Understand I'm a preppy goodie boy on the outside, and being arrested was HUGE. I was 28.

Psycologically (or intellectually) I was 16 and realized the little sub cultures we call society was all just actors playing roles and that for the most past it was B.S.
