15-9= - X but X cannot remain negative so multiply the entire equation by -1 (15- 9 = - X) which gives you this:

-15+9= X therefore the answer is X= -6

hope this helped.

PS you can divide by -1 or multiply by -1 to change the X to a positive, either way is fine.

15 - 9 = 6
6= -x
Nex u must divide negative on on both sides to get x by itself
-6=x

I will assume that you want to solve for x.

15 - 9 = -x

Multiplying the equation by -1, we have,

9 - 15 = x
x = -6

Hope this helps.
