Divide and conquer is a strategic move used by militaries for generations. It is very effective to gain control of the masses.
The current administration is using it daily to tear us apart. All that we talk about on here at Answers are those divisions.
Pro Iraq war..Anti-war
Pro Immigration..Anti immigration
Pro-life..Pro Choice
Republican..Democrat
Left..Right..Moderate
Religion..Non-religion
Freedom...Security
Rich..Poor..Middle class
We are divided on so many issues, it is really sad. There is a purpose in this divisiveness. It was strategically placed (leaked) by our current administration to conquer from within. With control of the Judicial, Legislative, and Executive branches of Federal government, I'd have to say that the guilty party is the Republicans. We must fight to keep a system of checks and balances in place, or we risk the probability of losing our freedom, and security.

No. What most believe this country was founded on is a lie. This country was essentially founded on rich white men who didnt want to pay their taxes to England to pay for the war to keep them from the French. That same concept still continues to this day.
Politics and the illusion of freedom and democracy are to keep people from questioning who or what is really controlling this country. Corporations have and have always had a stranglehold on goverment. If you are occupied with something in the front of the store you wont notice the thief running out the back with everything.

why do you call political factions "retarded" they define a commonality among adherents...what do you prefer chaos?
You may not find what you like in the party's that you see but surely some of your views are more shared by one party over the other, and like it or not that is where a lot of us are, so good luck.
