This is a very very hard question; for me anyway. I'm even studying a map here. Just the thought of never being able to return to the United States would be devastating, but given a choice, it would probably be the United Kingdom. They have stood by us many times and would be as close to the American civilization as I probably could get to. Alot of other countries always have some kind of turmoil going on and anyone in their "right" mind would be wise to stay away from that kind of area and choose a more "stable" environment.

Either Ireland as I am part Irish, or Scotland, England, Sweden, France, Germany and Bohemia for the same reasons. Actually, probably Newfoundland off the Candian coast, as I was stationed there for 3 years in the Navy and Loved every day of it. The weather is perfect, the people are super and the fishing and hunting are fantastic. Hardly any cold spells when it snows, it snows, but lasts very short periods of time.

I guess I would have to say Mexico. The reason being, if I could never return to my home country I would want to live close enough to my family that I could at least stand on the border and visit with them. Maybe even 'sneak' across the border every once in awhile!

I've never been there, but I have lived in the Philippines for about a year, and didn't like it too much, but maybe Thailand is better or China. I also might like France since I studied French in school, or Belgium, or Switzerland, or Netherlands, or Norway. You could either go with cheaper like SE Asia if you want to retire and bang teenagers the rest of your life, or high standard of living like Northern Europe to work hard and make money.

Australia:
1: They have a democracy
2: They are a Modern Industrialized nation YET they are a seperate entity. No Neighbors.
3: I've never heard anything bad coming from there. They at least from what little I know about them seem to be a peaceful nation that doesn't bother anyone.
4: They have awesome accents down Under.

Interesting, I would have to choose the United States because I have lived here for ten years and have noticed little difference between here and Canada. They speak the same language (I am not a Quebecois), and have a similar culture (except they go to war a little more often than Canadians)

Sweden. Who cares if its cold and depressing, socialism is awesome and Sweden has set up the best system. I can already speak a bit of German and all the Scandinavian languages are quite similar. The only problem is becoming a citizen so I can recieve my benifits.

I WOULD PROBABLUY GO TO SPAIN BECAUSE ITS GOT A GOOD CLIMATE AND PEOPLE ARE FRIENDLY OR THEY WERE WHEN I WAS THERE IN THE 60"S THE COUNTRY IS VERY POOR BUT SO ARE MOST OF THE OTHER COUNTRIES I HAVE BEEN TO. NEXT I WOULD CHOSE JAPAN BECAUSE THEY ARE A MODERN COUNTRY WITH LOTS OF MANUFACTORING WHICH WOULD MEAN JOBS TO WORK AT. ONLY THING JAPAN IS VERY EXPENSIVE NOW.

Its like America but without the stupid, psychotic Reich Wing and the racism of America. In 50 years America is going to be part of Mexico anyway.
