noo, not unless they themselve are from the south and moved there or have been raised by family that were from there, generally u can pretty much call us northerners

Yes, Marylanders have an accent. It does not sound Southern like the people from the South. It is distinct & does not sound like any other. Just like other areas/states that are distinct.
