So there's this girl I have a massive crush on. As time goes on, she gets more receptive to me. She does a lot of nervous stuff when we sit together, like fixing her bangs, and straightening her sweater, she also laughs at stuff I say that isn't overtly funny, she wrings her hands sometimes, and her legs make nervous movements. We're doing a project together and I suggested we keep in contact over the school email, but she said it would be easier if she got my email and we did it over MSN. She's also looked at me a few times (times that I know about). What do you think? Do you think she likes me?

She might be a shy person, and it takes time for her to open up. The only way to know is to ask her to hang out sometime...

Those "signs" can be from anything. I always play with my hair and I always straighten out my clothes. It also makes me nervous when I'm around people and if I had a school e-mail address, I doubt that I'd ever use it because of fear that the school can go through my e-mails.

I think you should try to make it obvious that you have a crush on her and see what happens.

She's totally into you! Check her views to know if she's a lesbian. By this, I'm assuming that you're a girl. Get to know her more while doing the project together. And if things pan out well, ask her out. It doesn't really have to be a date. Just ask her to do something with you, like watch a movie, or go biking, small stuff like that. If the chemistry's right, then ask her if she'd want to be more than friends. Make sure to let us know what happens! G'luck! \m/

Sounds like it to me. I would do what I did long ago the first time it happened to me, and when you think the time is right, give her the eye, in a tender way, and reach out for her hand. It worked for me and my first real girlfriend. Just remember, if she is also nervous about it, which it sounds like, be very tender and gentle, and don't react badly if at first her nervousness makes her run away. I would bet she'll be back. I would further bet that it will work the first time, if you plan the setting well...

It does sound crush-like to me, but proceed with caution. Be a friend first, and try to get her to do something outside of school, like coffee or the aforementioned miniature golf, something two friends could do. Getting her opinion on LGBT stuff (talking about a gay teacher or fellow student, or something in the news like the NJ marriage decision) may lead to at least learning whether she likes *girls*, too, if not you in particular.

Get to know her better. After you do the project. Hang out with her for a month. Get you input from her. No one likes to get shot down. If you have a massive crush.

Yes, I think she likes you.
Maybe she fears her parents knowing about you.

You don't say you are boy or girl.

Maybe she just nervous being around a new person and is taking it slow to know them.
