I'm driving a 2004 Ford Focus Sedan with full bodykit but my rim is still original size 185/65-14. I noticed that my tyre tents to wear out very quickly, like i change my tyres every 7-8 months and i'm using Michelin Energy tyres. So, if i change my tyre size to 195/65-14, will my tyre last longer? i travel about 40k Km per year at least. Also i check my tyre pressure every week, alignment every month, everything is fine and just change my shocks.

If there is really nothing wrong with your tire pressure, alignment, etc, and you are wearing out your tires that quickly, there is something about your driving we aren't being told. Are you racing this car? Changing to a 195/65 may change the unsprung weight, and you would also have to check clearance. I would check the books to see if this is an option, a many of today's cars have pretty tight wheelwells. More likely i would try a 195/60-14, the height would be about right, and the speedometer would not change significantly.

You are experiencing abnormal tire wear, without a doubt. You say that you have checked the alignment regularly, but you don't say how the tire is wearing out or how many miles you have on them when worn out. If you are wearing the tread out in less than 20K miles, then I would change tire brands. I would also have the alignment checked by a different business.
Are you driving in a weekend autocross or driving it hard? You will gain very little by changing to a taller tire, but I might suggest 15 inch rims if you can find them off another Focus; several models come with 15 inch wheels.
Alternatively, try some Kumho Touring tires from the Tire Rack. These are relatively inexpensive. I suggest keeping a slightly higher pressure in these tires as these tend to last longer and perform better. You can read the reviews for them.
Good luck!.

how are the tires wearing???

just so you know this is how the tire size works, the P185 is the tires width, the 65 is the tires profile or height, and of course the 14 is the diameter.

going with a P195 is just one inch wider.
going with a 55 is just one inch shorter.

It's all up to you man. go with what you can.

If you like the height you're at, I'd do a P195/65R14!

and quit driving like a "bat out of hell"

i taller tire will last longer...for example a 185 may rotate 327 times every mile and a 195 might only rotate 305.....185 to 195 prolly wont make that big of difference but wou will have to recalibrate your speedodometer....i would try a different brand tire

nicely you probably did not state you rim width, you suggested the diameter yet what's the width? they in a lot of situations allow you to comprehend once you purchase the wheel that or it really is stamped on the interior the wheel. starting from 5 inches huge to ten inches huge (often times larger). Rim width makes a distinction on how huge of tires will in good structure...yet a secure assumption is that both of the 215's will in good structure, i'd opt for the tire with the nearest measurements to inventory so that you do not decrease to rubble your speedometer or gearing ratio. Smaller circumference tires decrease the equipment ratio and promote Speedometer lag, larger circumference tires advance the equipment ratio and promote Speedometer leap. larger equipment Ratio will decrease acceleration yet advance good end, decrease equipment Ratio will decrease good end yet advance acceleration...even although the equipment ratio differences will be minimum, the Speedometer differences will be very significant with any tire 3% smaller or more effective circumference than inventory. Circumference is calculated utilising the three numbers on the tire, in basic terms type in Tire Circumference Calculator in google. i visit't make certain something about wheel rub with the 225s except you provide me more effective guidance, i'd want the wheel nicely intensity, wheel nicely hollow good, and Rim width to be able to really allow you to comprehend something for particular.
