1- This is NOT the first time such a question (conspiracy insinuation) has come up on this site.
2- The psychos here are Real & Certifiable Ones and NOT the professional and fanatic terrorist type interested in profile-revealing their identities and/or gory plans in a virtual forum/milieu (although some of …….. lol).
3- I didn’t know we (i.e. the Y!A users) were that important (good to know, though).
4- If they are, they must surely be laughing their freakin’ brains out (or losing ‘em) by “examining” the contents of the Y!A Q&A’s. LOL (I wonder why I’m laughing?!)
5- I’ll be more worried about the Yahoo Borg Masters spying on us than the government agencies you have listed.
6- If that’s how they propose to spend our tax money to safeguard our national security, then we must be in bigger trouble than I thought.
7- Since 98% of all Y!A content is essentially pointless ranting and raving, lighthearted showcase of moronic cuteness, and otherwise glorified gobbledygook, I would say: Garbage In, Garbage Out.
8- If there were a clandestine agreement between Y!A and the Intelligence Community for sharing of strategic information, then wouldn’t it be a more logically appropriate strategy for the Yahoo Morality Team to lay off the users who like to REALLY express their feelings and points of view, instead of suspending them as a matter of policy?
9- And assuming they did, do YOU really have something to worry about? Come on; confess “Mr. I wanna dominate the world with my toaster tanks”! LOL
P.S. Not all conspiracy theories are the groundless masterpieces of the paranoid minds, but overall one should wonder: Is any amount of common sense or logical argument ever enough to make a conspiracy theorist abandon his/her allegations? Or has this very observation been worked into most conspiracy models, as well? :-)

Of course it is! Duh? Are you just now getting it? Where have you been? Living in a cave with Osama? The rest of us have know this for ever since it started. You're way behind the curve and will probably have to start over now. And the FBI is only peripherally involved; it's the CIA and mainly the NSA. By the way, I've passed all my mind control tests with flying colors cause I've spotted every one of the hidden messages in every question, and I'm way cool. You on the other hand....Sounds like you might not make it...oh well....

First of all, I'm very disappointed in all the other answers. Are they so naive as to believe what we say here can't be tracked and traced and used for whatever purpose law enforcement or any other branch of Big Brother government chooses? Yahoo Answers is just a brain child of someone at Yahoo but I'm with you - I think it's being monitored, for sure.

No, they're not that desperate yet, innocent one. Don't think just 'cuz those others folks that answered you a bit testy, don't really love your butt. Ok? Here's what I think. I think we've got more friends in the CIA and FBI nowadays than we had in times past. Not to worry. The McCarthy era has passed, and thank God, so did Howard Hughes and J. Edgar Hoover, two more twin evil creeps that used to run our universe... or so they thought. The other remaining drones still "appearing" to be in power today are too stupid to do anything except try not to be so obviously evil. That's what I meant about winning. You're ok, kid. You can ask anything you want. I know you're not nuts like us who are too old to always be gentle. Whoops. To be kind, I guess I shouldn't pick on them old farts either. Happy days ahead, my young friend.

I don't know about the CIA or FBI, but I do know that candidates for office have someone on their campaigns monitoring AOL message boards and Yahoo for opinions from the populace. It's common practice now. The FBI is already monitoring email in its effort to track terrorists, who knows how wide that net is thrown? Not so paranoid of you in my view.

it would rely on people giving honest and open answers - which would be almost a first on this site! Plus it is very random if they were seeking to target any individual or group. I am sure they have some better methods to psych profile individuals - I hear they do it a hockey and football games, its the hot dog venders order chilli dog with cheese and they will have you down as subversive!!!

No, although I'm sure they could use it, since people who've been on here for a while have produced lots of writing samples and probably shared quite a bit of information about themselves.
How could you guarantee that the person they were interested in profiling would be on this site?

Nope, there are far better ways to gain knowledge of someone's personality than a picture, an alias, and a random answer.

I hope the CIA and FBI have better things to do than check up on bored people and kids who can't do their own homework.
