The front seat
On the L & R sides
Near the rear
Remove the allen head bolts and lift up the seat.
Sorry guys. I don't know where you get your information from. To get to the battery on a 2004 Honda vt750c, you have to remove the seat. The battery on a vt1100 is behind the left side cover. The battery on a vt600c is behind the right side cover.

The battery is not under seat it's behind the side panel on right side and it still is a job to replace.

I know on sportbikes, there is a key insert under the undertail (at least, on my sportbike there is). Your seat is probably "locked" on - you need to find the key insert and unlock it, then lift the seat off!
