They must be doing something right. They're the largest university in the country by enrollment.

I think that people are skeptical of their programs right now, but in this technological society, I believe in a few years there will be many more similar and competitive colleges.

This is an accredited university which means that your degree will have some value unlike other educational institutions.
At least that is worth something.
The president of the university was interviewed by cnn. Click the link below ....

Whoa, if you are gonna be a psychologist you definently do not want to get a degree from the University of Pheonix. You need at least a M.A to get paid decent ( I refer to decent as 60k a year) And if you wanna do clinical work you need a Ph.d. I know because I'm currently achieving by M.A from UCSD. However, if you are taking classes to help fullfil your major requirments at another school it is ok. But if you have a degree from Pheonix you will really have a tough time getting into an M.A program because they judge you by your internship hours, gpa, and the school you went to. hope this helped and just e-mail me if you have any more questions.

It is WAY over-priced for what you get. It may be accredited but how do you think employers look at University of Phoenix on your degree?!

can you say DIPLOMA MILL.

This university has the most generous structure of any in America. In other words, its a gut school. Most empoyers know its not worth the paper its printed on. UOP makes its curriculum so easy a chimp could get a Ph.d from them. THAT is why they have the highest enrollment and is overpriced too. Unfortunately, there's alot of demand for what they supply!

Sucks - I work with people with their "BS" or "MS" degrees who are demanding more income, but can't write complete sentences. They also have no balance in their education; i.e. little understanding of culture, health, writing, history, etc.

UOP is still better than ITT/Heald (those REALLY suck), but it's still not nearly as good as a true university.
