I just heard a new country tune by a band called Lonestar and the song was called Moutains. Here's a sample of the lyrics.

There are times in life when you gotta crawl,
Lose your grip, trip an' fall
When you can't lean on no-one else:
That's when you find yourself
I've been around and I've noticed that
Walkin's easy when the road is flat
Them danged ol' hills'll get you every time
Yeah the good Lord gave us mountains,
So we could learn how to climb

Bobby, Bobby Dunn came back from the war
Lost his leg but they couldn't take his will
Hell bent to run in that local marathon
He trained through the endless pain an' pills
It hurt so bad that sometimes
He just had to cry
He didn't stop until he crossed
That finish line

Dear Trish:

I don't know of a song that says something specifically about struggle, hardship, etc., but, the lyrics to a song I DO know - are the best offering I can give to another. The song is an anointed song - meaning it was inspired by the Holy Spirit through the composer: It's titled: "Breathe Upon Me."

The lyrics are:

" Come breathe upon me breath of God,
Breathe upon me Spirit of the Lord
As I lift my hands in surrender to your name -
Most High
I'm yielded to your Spirit
Walking in your Love
Jesus, I adore,
Jesus I adore your holy name."

The other one is also an anointed song. I have only included here a few sentences. The name is: " God is Moving by His Spirit."
This is written to sing to God, alone:

". . . And my heart beats the echo of your Spirit
And my senses feel the warmth of your embrace
Let me be Your holy adaptation
Let my Spirit be heard to say :
Oh, Lord my God ! You know your moving -
I want to offer my sacrifice of praise
Fill this temple *, Lord, with your Spirit once again."

* YOU are his temple.

Finally, "The Impossible Dream" and "You'll Never Walk Alone,"
sung by Jim Nabors on tape cassettes will lift you straight into all the strength you will need.

The above anointed music is on tape cassette offered by the Benny Hinn Ministries, and called: "Atmosphere for Healing2."
Last I knew, His Ministry team could be reached at: 1-800 - 433-1900 and possibly, 1-877-227-6368.
He has a website on the Internet, also.

Sing Trish, sing. Then afterwards listen for direction and guidance. Talk to the Holy Spirit and Jesus. Listen for their guidance written upon your heart.

Even "Ave Maria" can be listened to as a song of supplication to God, rather than to Mary. Listen and focus upon Him. Supplicate your needs to Him.

Best regards, Lana

Praise you in this storm by Casting Crowns.
No matter how bedraggled I may become, when I listen to this song, it gives me hope and encourages me to keep pressing forward.
