I dont have a dictionary and need help with son's homework:
1.Words that start with A begin on what page_and end on what page_?
2.Words that begin with M start on page_and end on what page_?
3.Words that start with W start on page_and end on what page_?
This homework is for my son who is in 2ned grade sorry to bug everyone...Please help!

Since dictionaries come in different sizes and from different publishers, there is no one answer to these questions. Are you sure that he wasn't supposed to use a classroom dictionary? I'm a second grade teacher and I can assure you that we understand that not every child has access to a dictionary at home. Perhaps you should drive to a public library and use one there to get an answer.

I don't know if all dictionary's are the same.I have the American Heritage Dictionary,Words that start with "A"usually start on page one,and end about 15, unfortunately this dictionary doesn't have numbered pages. Mine is at home. "M" is usually around the middle,and has about 14 pages depending on the size, "W" is aboout 7/8 th's from the back/ I wish I could help you more. Sorry.

a is 1 to 98 m is 810 to 903 and w is 1515 to 1560 there you go
