it's the writing of the characters they play probably.
someone suggested that when I announced to my office that I had a huge crush on James Spader from, most recently, Boston Legal. He said "no, you just like how his character is written and you expect him to be like that in real life." What a buzz kill.
I can see Sinise as being sexy. Spacey has something, charisma but I don't think he's sexy. I don't know much about Hugh but I can see that!

Gary Sinise can be sexy. In Forrest Gump, when he was first shown in the movie.. he looked good! I can see why you think Kevin Spacey is hot too.. Hugh Lori.. um, he's not that great. It's probably an actor thing. If one of those guys was your next door neighbor, I'd doubt you'd feel the same.
