Thank you John Paul for your reply. Here is some details. I'm about to buy a Porsche 911 (996 model - up to 2005). The specific year would be 2002. I will be using it as a daily drive car to the office! (That includes trafic). I need to know if the turbo is a beast or I can also enjoy a normal (non sportive) drive. There is enough power in the 911 carrera S not satisfy anyone but the turbo beening almost the same price (almost!) with a wider body and bullet 0-60 is just an amasing car and a great choice! need to have info from people that have drove both to give me a detailed difference.

You need to decide whether you want a manual or tiptronic (Automatic) gearbox. If manual then you need to test drive both cars to see how easy the clutch is to use in stop/start traffic.
If its tiptronic, then it doesn't matter as there is no clutch. It wouldn't harm you to test drive both though, just so you know what you're getting yourself into.

Personally, I'd take the turbo and live with it. Then on the days when you can go out and find a stretch of open road, you will love the extra performance!

Ok not much info to go with here. What are your expectations here? Quiet smooth power or race track ready preformance? What year car do you think you can afford? 996 is not the Carrera S RUF makes even a hotter version. I am a sports car nut even though I drive a modified 2006 GTO 6 speed with over 420 rear wheel horsepower. I Want To Know? just what you expect the next over $70,000 car your about to buy to be able to do?

The 911 Turbo is better for a daily driver.
