I had my car towed and I had 2 new tires put on the front. Now the speedometer stops working off and on. Why?

What would cause it to stop working then work OK for a whole 2 days and then stop again? Is it the towing, tires, or ??? Thanks.

It is a 2003 Chevy Caviler.

if it's front wheel drive I would guess the tow job did some damage.

Because it's a Chevy. Dump it and get a real car, the caviler is one of the worst cars you can possibly by.
