....you're a vienna sausage and you obviously must not love me very much. Fine, I will never give anyone advice again!!! By the way, it might be a good idea to stop using YAHOO ANSWERS before you hurt someone else's feelings...of course, everyone is different and some people ENJOY hurting the people who love them!

EDIT: Okay, okay, so I'm not his wife, but that is probably what she would say if she were! He should buy her a very special and expensive gift to show her how much he loves her for caring so much about other people. Do you agree?

Hmmm . . . that's tough. She's a fixer and probably honestly thinks she's helping. Perhaps start by gently letting her know that sometimes it's better to just listen - some people that complain aren't looking for answers - just sympathetic ears. Come up with a signal . . . a gentle nudge or right hand pulling right ear sort of thing.
She probably will be hurt a bit, in the beginning. But let her know that you realize she wants to help and that sometimes this might be the better way to do so.

You cannot stop a person, only that person can stop if he/she wants to.
I could be in your wife's shoes as well. I can recommend or suggest something to another person, but I always tell them every person is different. I cannot solve my own problems, but people tell me that I give them good advise on helping them out.
I wish you and your wife the best.

Do what I did to a friend of mine..... She was always trying to solve my problems and I told her that I want her to listen not solve my problems.... So maybe you can say something along the lines of .. Honey maybe try listening to them and let them learn from their own mistakes like you and I did. I would then follow with, because maybe someday someone may blame you for giving them bad advise and that wouldn't be a good thing if it was a friend because not all advise is good for everyone. I hope that helps... it helped my friend, she stopped.

I could be that she is just a caring person and wants to try and help everyone. Now there is a big difference between caring and sticking your noise where it does not belong. If she is just annoying people then you should just tell her that not everyone wants her advice...but if she is doing it because she truly cares and is really helping people then whats wrong with that? Only you know which it is.
Best of luck

Tell her that your feet hurt and YOU need her to rub them... I think the stench will kill her.

In all honesty, there's no reason to have her stop trying to help ppl. Do you ever tell people what to do? Like her for instance? As long as she's not hurting anyone, leave her be, she's probably a great lady.

tell her, maybe you ought to let them live their own lives and figure it out themselves.
You could also tell her that she shouldn't try to solve everyone's problem, because one day she might give the wrong advice and it could hurt someone.

Politely tell her you don't appreciate that, and be sure to include several compliments, too, so that she doesn't feel attacked, while at the same time not de-emphasizing your original goal.

Simple? Vague? Try it anyway.
