you may want to ask your teacher if he/she is feeling a bit high....or maybe you are too...tell your teacher to go back to elementary school! and maybe you should join him! how old are you?! Europe is a real place idiot! it were your ancestors came from, unless your a little yellow Asian. Hell, I'm even studying about Europe as I type this! Go to google.com and search for maps of Europe, or look on a globe,.... everyday i think the world can't get any stupider, and everyday I'm proven wrong!

I bet your teacher was messing with your head. Something tells me the teacher had either answered a ton of questions about Europe and you weren't listening. When my students stop listening, I have been know to lie to them during the lecture. That way I find out who has done the assignment and who hasn't. Those who have done it play along with me. Sometimes they even ask questions to help exaggerate the lie even more. I only have to do this 2-3 times a year!

Yeah it is... made up of a lot of people!
Tell your teacher that...
Europe is a continent...
It's located next to Asia and above Africa.
Across the shore from North America and right below the North Pole... Then instead of giving her an apple, surprise her by offering her made up GLOBE!! Apparantly, she doesn't think those are real either!

According to the Random House Unabridged Dictionary, "made up" also means "put together; finished". Moreover, the Webster's Revised Unabridged Dictionary gives another meaning for "made up": "complete, perfect". Maybe your teacher wanted to say that Europe is a "complete, perfect" place. In this case, she is a little too enthusiastic.

Well, it depends how you want to see it. For instance, for most people in latin America, USA may appear to be a mada up place because it is so different than the real world and everything seems so equal from outside.
I can tell you, Europe has a huge variety of populations, languages, etc, so I dissent of your teacher.

All places with names and boundaries are man-made! If you were to have discovered the continents and named them, would you have named it Europe? Probably not, so you would have made up your own name for it and drawn the boundaries any way you liked.
Does it exist? Of course, but I think your teacher knew that!

In a continental sense yes. It is not really a continent since is not a seperate landmass. In terms of an actual set of nations called Europe they are wrong.

What?!?
Europe is right next to Russia. It is one of the 7 continents. If you still doubt - look at a map or globe. It's there.

No, it is not true. Get a map and you can find Europe yourself. It consists of many different countries.
