I think I just need something to block off the door like maybe a curtain on a curtain rod? Any experience you have would help greatly as I have rommates (that I actually like to get along with). I use a Big Muff distortion / Sustain pedal and a Peavey 25 watt "practice amp" (It will bow my rommies out of their chairs, sort of, if it's cranked).
Please help.
Thanks in advance.
Clayton

Folks and people I thought of the headphone jack. My Peavey comes with one. I am trying to get settings right and check if I need to change settings between playing loud and playing LOUD.

You can easily sound proof your room with padded foam. I know a freelance audio engineer who works from home and he lives in a flat with others and that was what he did. He used thick padded foam on the walls, windows and door. All gaps are sealed.

Not sure there is much you can do. Buy a pair of good headphones and plug them up to your amp. That's what I do when I don't want to bother anyone.

plug some head phones into the output jack but you will need an adapter.

Put carpet on the wall, or soundproof the wall. That's what I do when my family tells me to keep it down.
