Of all the people I know, the work-aholic type are the least fun to be around. They all seem to have a chip on their shoulder and believe that they are so righteous. What's the deal with this? My lazy friends are way more fun, imaginative, and open minded.
Anyone else notice this?

I agree with you on workaholics being a stick in the mud and they should cut back on their working hours, but we all have to make a living just to have a roof over our heads, food to eat, clothes on our backs otherwise we'll be out in the street. Working people in general are more responsible than lazy people. Maybe your lazy friends need to read Proverbs 6:6...it's straight & to the point. That's just life.

Well I don't know about anyone else, but I work hard for my money. You'll soon learn that having a roof over your head and groceries so you can eat are very important things in this world. It's not always about "playing". Of course, we'd ALL like to play. Hell, do you really think that anyone wants to work ? Of course not. I'd like to drink and hang out all the time if I could, but this is the real world and it's a harsh world out there. You will learn this at some point in your life......we all do.

they are just more serious about being able to provide and give to their families the things they need in life today, like money and an education. like you said it your lazy friends are more fun, cuz they don't think about the furore, they think on;y of the here and now, not the future. so don't knock the hard working people who are getting their taxes taken out so lazy people can collect their unemployment just cuz your lazy friends don't want to work

I'm one of your "workaholics". I make enough money to pay for my car and my motorcycle. I also spent a number of years in the service, so I have some discipline. I may not be imaginative, but I can pay for my own beer! I had friends like you when I was young. I'm glad I don't any longer!

Stress...simple as that. Lazy people are for sure more fun to be around b/c they aren't stressed out all the time.

Yes I have noticed that often,and also notice that these uptight type-A personality people often die of a massive heart attack at age 50.

That's all they know how to do is work. They don't know how to loosen up or don't want to for the fear that it will hurt their perfect image if somebody sees them doing something crazy.
