Duct tape. Seriously. Studies have found that it is MORE effective than the treatment you get from the doctor. It's certainly less painful. Apparently, it works by stimulating your immune system to attack the wart.
Cut a piece of duct tape as close to the size of the wart as possible. Leave on for six days. If the original piece of duct tape falls off, immediately replace with more duct tape. At the end of six days, remove the tape, soak the area in water, and then gently rub the wart with an emery board or pumice stone. Leave tape off for overnight, and then reapply the next morning. Repeat until the wart(s) disappear (maximum 2 months).

I used Compound W for about a week on a small wart on my finger. The trick is to soak the wart for about ten minutes and use an emory board to rub off dead cells. Dry the area, apply the Compound W, and you can cover the area with a bandage. Do this twice a day and it will go away; the larger it is, the more time it takes. Warts are caused by HPV and since it is a virus, they can come back.

Wash your hands several times a day. Pat them dry and when they are dry, paint the warts with clear nail polish. Warts are viruses and if they cannot breathe they die. After the nail polish dries and it has been a few hours, repeat the process throughout the day and before you go to bed. I had warts all over my hands and an old lady told that to me and it worked beyond my hopes and dreams of not going to the doctor.

As long as they are not in a sensitive place you can keep them coated with clear nail polish and after about ten days they will flake off. Basically they suffocate. They can come back though, no matter what you do, they are some sort of weird virus.

There are several over the counter wart remover solutions available at the drug store. Ask the pharmacist.

Try Compund W. It works, but it takes a while. Also if they are on your feet (Plantars Warts), your best bet is a Doctor.
