i need to know to fill out the federal motor truck driver log book
hours of on duty and drive time and hours off and sleeper berth

driving time: Time spent behind the wheel driving
On Duty Not Driving : Time spent secureing a load or getting fuel or doing a pretrip
Sleeper Berth : time spent in the sleeper of your truck
Off Duty Not Driving: Time spent at home or in a motel/hotel
when you come go off work for a weekend at home make a line in your book in the Off Duty Not Driving tell you leave to go back to work when you go back to work go down from Off duty Not Driving to On Duty Not driving and make a little mark ( 15min) to show you did a pretrip then go up to Driving and drive as long as you wish (as long as it is less then 11 hrs ) then when you come to the end of your driving day make a line going up to Sleeper Berth and sleep for 10 hrs .
Now when you do you logs here are some KEY RULES you cant have more then 14 hrs of Driving and On Duty Not Driving , you can drive 11 Straight houres but only if you have had 10 straight houres of sleep . well i will tell you that you need to show your time you slept for your sleeper berth time, time you were working and not driving i.e. loading unloading a trailer as on duty and time spent driving as driving time this is how i filled mine out and never had any problems with my log books
